August 2025
I thought last month's update was modest - but this month we have no new nor updated files; a first? Possibly not, but certainly a very rare occurrence. Not sure why, since the hobby seems as healthy as ever, with new games, and even new companies, appearing on a regular basis.
Talking of new companies, Les 3 Zouaves (L3Z) should launched their first game, 'Brandywine: A Time for Heroes' on Gamefound by the time LYG is next updated. L3Z is the creation of my good friend Yves Roig whom I assisted with the design of 'Gettysburg: A Time for Heroes' and, as the subtitle suggests, 'Brandywine: A Time for Heroes' is based on that earlier design. Hopefully many of you will support Yves and L3Z as they seek to become established. You can help right away by following the preview of the Gamefound campaign that can be found here: https://gamefound.com/en/projects/les-3-zouaves/brandywine-1777-a-time-f...?
And, talking of 'Gettysburg: A Time for Heroes', Worthington Games have just informed us that the game is now Out of Print - that took less than 10-months; they should clearly have printed more. We're also delighted and honoured to see the game come in in 5th place in ZillaBlitz's Top Introductory Wargames for 2025:
Its probably worth mentioning that the LYG Shop will re-open towards the end of next m0nth so, if you want to avoid being at the back of the queue for maps and/or counters, it is probably worth thinking of dropping me an email (no commitment required) to get added to the waiting list.
And finally...
My thanks as always to our sponsors, advertisers, contributors, cuatomers and visitors.
