The main news this month was going to be  that Ken Demyen (with my assistance) is working on yet another Battles of Middle Earth variant: Field of Celebrant. Here is the map:

We hope to have the map and counters available for purchase before the middle of the year, along with freely downloadable Vassal module and exclusive rules.

However, the BIG NEWS is that we found out, just before going to press, that Worthington Games are launching the Kickstarter for 'Gettysburg - A Time for Heroes' on March the 9th. Why is this big news, because it is my second game design to be published. This time with co-designer Yves Roig.

It was funded in less than an hour. It goes without saying that your support will be greatly appreciated.

And, coincidentally, it appears it is 'In With The New, Out With The Old'. Randy advised me in late February, that 'Toulon, 1793', my first professional design, was dow to its last copy so, when you read this, it may well be Out of Print.

I will give advance notice that LYG Shop will again be closed for part of the Summer as we head over to France again. This year the closure will be:

• May 26 - September 17.

We will accept orders during this period but will not be able to fulfill them until mid/late September.

Perhap better news is that I'll be attending CSW Expo in July so, if you're also attending and place and order by 20 May, I'll be able to bring the counters with me and save you the international shipping.

Also, just a reminder that during 2024, with the occasional exception, we will only be accepting updates to existing files; we will not be uploading new content (our storage limits don't allow it). With Vassal and ZT we will continue to add cross-links to those platform's sites - but we won't be hosting new files that are available on those sites.
