November 2015
What an exciting month! Not only did I get the chance to traipse over the four battlefields of the Waterloo Campaign (more about this below), but Toulon, 1793 also hit its pre-order numbers. My sincere thank to all of you that have shown faith in me and the game by ordering already. If you're still sitting on the fence, then best decide soon as we're all working hard and aiming for a December release, and so the special pre-order price won't be available for too much longer. Perhaps these images will help you decide:

So, lets jump from the start of Bonaparte's career to the end.
I had the privilege of spending five days with Karoly Szigetvari this week and we spent three of those days exploring the sites of Ligny, Quatre Bras, Waterloo and Wavre. We're preparing a set of walking guides for those visiting the battlefields for the 2015 bi-centennial. We're hoping to have some of the information we gathered in one of the next two issues of War Diary. But we're also creating a website that will hold all the information we have.
We were lucky to gain access to some unique areas that we will be able to share with you.
The renovation work is ongoing and that on Hougoumont is especially impressive.
Here's a fun competition:
Can you spot the extreme renovation evidenced in this photograph? Send your entries via the Contact LYG link at the bottom of the page. There are no prizes but we will list (in order received) the names of those who correctly identify the work.
Beating the UK/EU Pre-Order Blues
Clash of Arms are in the process of taking payments for the long awaited Legion of Honor at $65 + shipping and they are offering a VAT busting deal.
The VAT busting deal that Clash are offering ( to the UK and EU) is that, for a relatively small additional shipping surcharge, they will pay both the VAT and the handling fee for the games.
They are able to offer this service as a result of an arrangement they have with Limey Yank Games. This service is available to all LYG sponsors so, if you want to support your favourite company's pre-order programme but find it just too expensive, lobby the company to take advantage of the service if they are already and LYG sponsor - or suggest they consider becoming a sponsor if not so already.
Thank You!
This way we can hopefully revitalise the UK/EU pre-ordering of US games. Show your support for the idea by getting that order in
Thanks to each of you that have made a donation to help support the site. Natasha and I are grateful and humbled. Every donation - and I genuinely mean every donation, no matter how large or small - makes us realise that our efforts are genuinely appreciated. The fact that you're under no obligation to contribute makes it even more rewarding when you do.
Registrations have seen a new lease of life which is very welcome; if you've not done so yet then please use the 'Register' feature at the top of the screen to do so - and remember to include a brief gaming bio so we know you're real.
You'll find a decent mix of updates and new files this month including, for the first time in a while, a new Zun Tzu file.
My thanks as always to our visitors, sponsors, contributors and now donors too.
