February 2020

I think we all owe Phil Weltsch a vote of thanks this month as he's almost single-handedly provided this month's updates. He also, rather nicely, creates files for both Vassal and Cyberboard - so almost everyone is happy.

Karoly has added a few markers to Dave Jones' Fontenoy to make play a little easier.

I've also dusted off my Cyberboard CBDesign edditor to create a gamebox for Red Sash Games' Army of Roussillon. Only the one scenario for now, though. As mentioned last month, if you head over to the Resources page and filter on rules, you'll also  find  an abridged versionof the rules for Red Sash Games' Lace War Series. This is an impressive series of 17/18th Century operational level games with a daunting set of rules. I'm hoping this abridged set will reduce the barrier to entry for more of you and so see the games get the wider play they deserve. You can see here that there are plenty of the games that have Vassal  and CB support.

BREXIT & Our EU Friendly Shipping

Well, Britain has now left the European Union. We're now in an 11-month transition phase (till the end of 2020) where, basically, nothing changes. So, for now,  our EU Friendly Shipping Service will not be affected. What happens from 2021 is still to be negotiated.

Remember that we offer EU Friendly Shipping Service to all of our sponsors. It reduces their costs as well as saving you money related to VAT charges. Please get your favourite publisher to talk to us about how we could work with them.

And finally...

My thanks as always to our sponsors, advertisers, contributors and visitors.
