VAT & Tariffs
An unfortunately topical subject, given Brexit and the current US Administration.
The current situation, to the best of my knowledge, is that:
- Customers in the EU will be charged VAT (and a possible admin fee) for items shipped from the UK. Some countries (as is the case with the UK) may make maps exempt from VAT, but counters will almost certainly attract it. Even if maps are exempt, you may be charged VAT - it will them be your (not my) task to appeal the charge.
- I typically spend April - September in France. Whilst I do not fulfil new orders during that time (as my equipment is in the UK), I am happy to bring EU orders into France, in April, and ship from there. This will avoid VAT for EU customers. Such orders must, obviously, be placed in a timely manner to allow the production to precede my departure for France.
- My shipments to customers in the US will now (again, to the best of my knowledge) incur a 10% tariff.
PAYMENT OF ANY TAXES OR TARIFFS IMPOSED ON ORDERS ARE THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY
